Flexibility Wins Jerome Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack
Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 3 Jerome Stakes went down at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York on Saturday, January 2, a one-mile-and-70-yard test for some of the best three year olds in the land. Chad Brown trained 1-2 race favorite Flexibility did the expected and drew clear by a relatively easy 4 1/2 lengths, picking up 10 points in the "Road to the Kentucky Derby" qualifying series. 7-1 third choice Vorticity finished second while 22-1 shot In Equality was third, 2 1/2 lengths out of second. Bird of Trey was fourth, followed by Let Me Go First, Condo King, and Silent Assassin to complete the order of finish. Donegal Moon stumbled badly at the start, dislodging jockey Manny Franco. King Kranz was scratched.
