Cluster of Stars Wins Gallant Bloom Handicap at Belmont Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $300,000 Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap took place at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York Saturday, September 21. Turtle Bird Stable's Cluster of Stars improved her undefeated record to six in wire-to-wire fashion at 3-1 odds in the 6 1/2 furlong test. 2-1 favorite Dance to Bristol's seven race win streak was snapped but she used a late run to get up for second while Dance Card who was sent off at 5-2 odds and finished third. Holiday Soiree, Classic Point, Crespano, Munnings Sister, and Defy Gravity completed the order of finish in the field of eight fillies and mares. Villanesca scratched.
