Canadian bred Private Zone emerged victorious by a neck and earned an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Sprint for trainer Doug O`Neill as the 7-2 second choice while 5-2 favorite Justin Phillip`s rally fell short - he finished second. Forego Stakes winner Strapping Groom was 4 1/2 lengths back in third, with Forty Tales fourth in the field of seven. Forty Tales was followed by Bahamian Squall, Candyman E, and The Lumber Guy. Palace scratched.
