Ball Dancing Wins Sands Point Stakes at Belmont Park
Las Vegas, NV - Belmont Park in Elmont, New York was the scene of the $500,000 Grade 2 Sands Point Stakes on Saturday, September 15 - a 1 1/8 mile turf test for three year old fillies. Chad Brown trained French import and fourth choice Ball Dancing, making her United States debut came away with the victory on a sloppy track by a half length over stablemate Xcellence. Pacesetter Sea Queen, the 5-2 favorite in the field of nine, finished third with Walk Close, A Little Bit Sassy, Daring Dancer, Duff One, Miss Besilu, and Queenofzeenile completing the order of finish. Aqua Regia was entered for the main track only.
