Zivo Wins Suburban Handicap at Belmont Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $500,000 Grade 2 Suburban Stakes was contested at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York on Saturday, July 5. New York-bred Zivo emerged by a relatively easy three lengths in the 1 1/4 mile test - at 13-1 odds in his graded stakes debut. Moreno finished a good second, with Prayer for Relief three-quarters of a length back in third. Ever Rider finished fourth, followed by 2-1 favorite Romansh, Mylute, Micromanage, Norumbega, Last Gunfighter, and Stormin Monarcho. Vyjack, weakening to last on the far turn, was eased in the stretch.
