Las Vegas, NV - The insane weekend of graded stakes action at Belmont Park started Friday when the $250,000 Grade 2 True North Stakes was contested on Belmont Park's main track. Linda Rice trained Palace provided the upset at 9-1 odds - by three quarters of a length in the six furlong test over 2-1 favorite Bakken. Salutos Amigos was third while Eastwood, Marriedtothemusic, Dads Caps, and Integrity completed the order of finish. Royal Currier and Well Spelled were scratched.
