Wedding Toast Wins Beldame Stakes at Belmont Park
Las Vegas, NV - Belmont Park in Elmont, New York was the scene of the $400,000 Grade 1 Beldame Stakes on Saturday, September 26 - a 1 1/8 mile event for older fillies and mares. Godolphin Racing's Street Sense mare Wedding Toast provided the gate-to-wire victory in the field of six as overwhelming 6-5 favorite. She gained an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Distaff with the win. Curalina in her first start against older competition finished a good second at 3-1 odds while Catch My Drift got in for third at 7-1 odds.
