Cavorting Wins Ogden Phipps Stakes at Belmont Park
The $1 million Grade 1 Ogden Phipps Stakes was run Saturday, June 11 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York as part of the Belmont Stakes undercard. Fillies and mares four years old and upward took to Belmont Park's dirt track and raced 1 1/16 miles. Kiaran McLaughlin trained Cavorting closed well and posted her fourth win in five starts at Belmont Park - this time by 2 1/2 lengths at 4-1 odds. 3-1 second choice Forever Unbridled was second in the field of seven with Carrumba getting in for third at 10-1 odds. 9-5 favorite Curalina disappointed in fourth while Sheer Drama, Stopchargingmaria, and Desert Valley completed the order of finish.
