Las Vegas, NV - Del Mar in the great state of California was the scene of the $300,000 Grade 2 Del Mar Derby - a 1 1/8 mile turf test for three year olds. 17-1 shot Midnight Storm came up with the upset - by an impressive 3 1/4 lengths. Sawyer's Hill finished a good second at 12-1 odds while Talco finished third. Sammy Mandeville finished fourth with Home Run Kitten, 8-5 favorite Enterprising, Aventador, and Flamboyant completing the order.
