Three Hearts Wins Red Carpet Handicap at Del Mar
Las Vegas, NV - Del Mar turf in the great state of California was the scene of the $100,000 Grade 3 Red Carpet Handicap on Saturday, November 22 - a 1 3/8 mile test for older fillies and mares. Neil Drysdale trained Three Hearts provided the upset in the field of 11 at 29-1 odds. 13-1 shot Lady of Gold finished second by a neck over the fast closing Lady Pimpernel who finished a good third in her North American debut. Scooter bird was fourth followed by Winning Rhythm, 5-2 favorite Appealing Cat, Left a Message, Hijra, Bee Brave, Modernstone, and Lusicious Lonna. Scratched were also-eligibles Macaabra and Soresca.
