Forever Unbridled Wins Breeders' Cup Distaff at Del Mar
The biggest race on a busy Breeders' Cup Friday card at Del Mar racetrack in Del Mar, California - the $2 million G1 Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff featured fillies and mares three years old and upward when they took to Del Mar's dirt track and raced 1 1/8 miles. Charles Fipke's 7-2 third betting choice Forever Unbridled proved best on the day, holding off multiple grade 1 winner Abel Tasman, who was sent off at 9-2 by a half -length. Abel Tasman finished three lengths ahead of third-place finisher 5-1 Paradise Woods while 2-1 favorite Elate was fourth and Mopotism, Champagne Room and Romantic Vision and 3-1 second choice Stellar Wind, who faded badly in the lane, completed the order of finish.
