Calamity Kate Wins Delaware Oaks at Delaware Park
Las Vegas, NV - Delaware Park played host to the $300,000 Grade 3 Delaware Oaks on Saturday, July 11 - a 1 1/16 mile race for older females. George and Lori Hall's Calamity Kate provided the huge upset in near track record time by 1 3/4 lengths - at 54-1 odds. Another pair of longshots completed the show spots - Peace and War rallied to finish a good second while Hip Hop N Jazz finished third, three lengths behind second. Bar of Gold was fourth followed by overwhelming 1-5 favorite Lovely Maria, Danzatrice, White Clover and Milaya.
