Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds Racecourse Results
Las Vegas, NV - There were two huge Road to the Kentucky Derby qualifying races this past weekend in North America. The $1 million Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds Race Course handed out 100-40-20-10 points for its first through fourth place finishers this weekend to go along with the very nice purse. WinStar Farm's, Todd Pletcher trained Revolutionary came out on top as the 2-1 favorite and gained 100 valuable points, holding off 19-1 shot Mylute who earned 40 points and Departing who finished third, garnering 20 points. Golden Soul finished fourth and collected the 10 qualifying points for his efforts. After Golden Soul came Ground Transport, Code West, Palace Malice, Sunbean, Titletown Five, Proud Strike, Hip Four Sixtynine, Nina's Dragon, Brazillian Court, and Whisky Bravo.
