Tamarando Wins El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate Fields
Las Vegas, NV - Golden Gate Fields in Berkeley, California played host to the $200,000 Grade 3 El Camino Real Derby Saturday, February 15. Jerry Hollendorfer trained 2-1 second choice Tamarando came from last to post the half length victory over 7-2 third choice Dance With Fate in the 1 1/8 mile test for three year olds. As a result, Tamarando earned 10 points toward a possible start in the Kentucky Derby in May. 6-5 favorite Enterprising was third while Puppy Manners finished fourth, followed by Infosec, Icy Ride, Craftsman, and I'll Wrap It Up.
