Ekati's Phaeton Wins Old Hat Stakes at Gulfstream Park
Las Vegas, NV - Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida played host to the $100,000 Grade 3 Old Hat Stakes on Saturday, January 3. Phaedrus Flights' 3-year-old filly and 7-1 third choice Ekati's Phaeton recorded her first stakes win by a half length over second place finisher R Sassy Lass and 2-5 favorite Fashion Alert, who finished third in the field of seven. 7-2 Second-choice Temper Mint Patty finished fourth and was followed out by Jamie's Dancer, Concealedwithakiss, and Slava. Little Miss Julia scratched.
