Cali Star Wins Rampart Stakes at Gulfstream Park
Las Vegas, NV - Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida played host to the $100,000 Grade 3 Rampart Stakes on Saturday, December 12 - a one mile one turn race for older fillies and mares. It was Ben Walden Jr. and Larry Taylor's 9-5 race favorite Cali Star that was best on the day emerging by three lengths in the field of eight. Another Martin Wolfson trainee - 5-2 second choice Best Behavior finished second with Stiff rallying to get third. Moment of Delight, Danessa Deluxe, Legal Laura, Curlin's Princess and Pink Poppy completed the order of finish.
