Robert Evans' 9-5 second choice Irish Mission proved to be best on the day in the 1 3/8 mile test by 1 1/2 lengths over slight 9-5 pick and pacesetter Riposte who wound up second and Tabreed who got in for third. Caroline Thomas was fourth and was followed by Bitty Kitty, Kitten's Point, Always Kitten, and Meri Shika.
