Heart to Heart Wins Canadian Turf Stakes at Gulfstream Park
Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida played host to the $150,000 Grade 3 Canadian Turf Stakes on Saturday, February 27. A field of eight horses four years old and upward took to Gulfstream's turf track and raced one mile. Canadian champion, 4-5 race favorite Heart to Heart took the early lead and sailed to victory - by 2 1/2 lengths over last year's winner, 9-2 third choice Long On Value who finished second and Divisidero who got third at 5-1 odds in his fist starts since July. Avanzare finished fourth, followed by Fredericksburg, Passion for Action, Quality Bird, and Notacatbutallama to complete the order of finish. Tower of Texas scratched.
