Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland Race Course Results
Las Vegas, NV - At Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky Saturday, in the $750,000 Grade 1 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, a full field of 14 were after 100 qualifying points toward the Kentucky Derby. 9-2 Java's War followed up an impressive second place finish in the Wood Memorial behind Verrazano with a victory by a neck to earn the 100 points. Java's War, in turn assured himself a starting spot in the Kentucky Derby May 4. Palace Malice, also sent off at 9-2 odds finished a very good second and earned 40 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby while Charming Kitten, a 22-1 shot, was another neck back in third. Palm Beach Stakes winner Rydilluc, the 7-2 favorite, finished fourth. After Rydilluc came Fear the Kitten, Balance the Books, My Name is Michael, Channel Isle, Dynamic Sky, Uncaptured, Tesseron, West Hills Giant, Undrafted, and Footbridge.
