We Miss Artie Wins Dixiana Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland
Las Vegas, NV - Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky played host to the $400,000 Grade 1 Dixiana Breeders' Futurity Saturday, October 5 - a 1 1/16 mile test for two year olds. We Miss Artie upset the field used a terrific stretch run to post victory at 10-1 odds by 2 3/4 lengths. We Miss Artie guaranteed himself a berth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile with the win. Smarty's Echo hung on for second two lengths in front of Arctic Slope, who rallied from last finished third in the field of 11. Rum Point, Conquest Titan, Pontos, Ready for Action, Laddie Boy, Solitary Ranger, General Jack, Kendall's Boy and Tiznowforamerica completed the order of finish while Intense Holiday, Medal Count, Oogeley Eye and School On a Hill scratched.
