Crown Queen Wins Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland
Las Vegas, NV - Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky played host to the $500,000 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup on Saturday, October 11. Bill Mott trained Crown Queen - half sister to Royal Delta - registered her first Grade 1 score by three quarters of a length at 5-2 odds in the 1 1/8 mile turf test. Ball Dancing was second at a similar 5-2 odds with Sistas Stroll and Personal Diary finishing in a dead heat for third. Minorette was fifth, followed by Sea Queen, and Speed Seeker. Aurelia's Belle and Daring Dancer scratched.
