Free Drop Billy Wins Claiborne Breeders' Futurity Stakes at Keeneland
The $500,000 G1 Claiborne Breeders' Futurity Stakes was run Saturday October 7 at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky. Two-year olds were featured when they lined up on Keeneland's dirt track and raced 1 1/16 miles for a spot in the Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Del Mar. Albaugh Family Stables' 3-2 race favorite Free Drop Billy continued to make noise in the division with an easy four length win in the field of 11. 47-1 longshot Bravazo finished a good second with Lone Sailor getting in for third at 17-1 odds. Lionite was another half-length back in fourth while Givemeaminit, 7-2 second choice Ezmosh, Crea's Bklyn Law, Bourbon Resolution, Ready Prospector, Lone Rock and Ten City completed the order of finish. Captivating Moon and Enticed scratched.
