Las Vegas, NV - The $350,000 Grade 1 Starlet Stakes was contested at Los Alamitos Race Course in Orange County, California on Saturday, December 13 - a 1 1/16 mile test for two year old fillies. 6-5 favorite Take Charge Brandi recorded her second Grade 1 score of the year and third straight victory overall - this time by just a half length in the field of seven. With the win, Take Charge Brandi all but locked up the Eclipse Award for Juvenile Fillies. 2-1 Second choice Feathered finished second with Bob Baffert trained 15-1 shot Maybellene finishing a good third. Majestic Presence weakened and wound up fourth, followed by Achiever's Legacy, Danette, and Don't Blame Me.
