Finest City Wins Great Lady M. Stakes at Los Alamitos Race Course
Los Alamitos Race Course in Los Alamitos, California was the scene of the $200,000 Grade 2 Great Lady M. Stakes on Saturday, April 23. Fillies and mares three years old and upward were featured when they took to Los Alamitos dirt track and raced 6 1/2 furlongs. Seltzer Thoroughbreds' Finest City bested the field of seven, winning by 1 1/4 lengths at 8-1 odds. Overwhelming 1-2 favorite Fantastic Style finished second with Lost Bus, who was also sent off at 8-1 got in for third. Minks Aprise rallied from last to finish fourth, followed by Dr. Fager's Gal, second choice Ben's Duchess, and Thirteen Arrows, to complete the order of finish.
