Main Sequence Wins United Nations Stakes at Monmouth Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $500,000 Grade 1 United Nations Stakes took place on Monmouth Park turf on the Jersey Shore Sunday, July 6. In his first start in the United States, 8-1 shot Main Sequence provided the upset for trainer Graham Motion over morning line second choice Twilight Eclipse who finished second and pacesetting Side Glance who wound up third. Winning Cause was fourth and was followed by 3-1 favorite Kaigun, Ghurair, Charming Kitten, Exclusive Strike, and Manchurian High. Lochte, a 10-1 shot on the morning line, was scratched.
