Triple Threat Wins Monmouth Stakes at Monmouth Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 2 Monmouth Stakes went down on Monmouth Park turf on the Jersey Shore on Sunday, June 7. Team Valor and Gary Barber's French bred 9-2 shot Triple Threat made the most of his US debut emerging by a nose over Middleburgh who finished a game second at 5-1 on the morning line and Inchape who got in for third at 15-1 odds. Cage Fighter was fourth followed by 7-2 favorite Ghurair, Lochte, Our Emerald Forest, St. Albans Boy and Tricky Hat.
