Shotgun Kowboy Wins Oklahoma Derby at Remington Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $400,000 Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby took place at Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday, September 27 - a 1 1/8 mile test for some of the best three year olds in the land. Oklahoma-bred 5-2 favorite Shotgun Kowboy thrilled the crowd and posted the half length victory over 7-1 second choice Desert Dynamo who finished second and Mobile Bay who got up for third as the 9-2 third betting choice. Souper Colossal finished fourth followed by Bold Conquest, Witt Six, The Truth Or Else, Tale of Verve, Poseidon's Way, Classy Class, Lucky Player and Hillbilly Royalty.
