Shakin It Up Wins Malibu Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California opened for action on Thursday, December 26 and featured a pair of Grade 1 races, one being the $300,000 Malibu Stakes. Shakin It Up, in his first start in nine months earned his first graded stakes victory at 17-1 odds. Central Banker got up for a very good second place finish at 10-1 odds, a half length back while Zeewat finished third. 9-5 favorite Flashback finished a disappointing fourth in the field of 12 followed by second choice Bakken, Our Double Play, Heir of Storm, Distinctiv Passion, Syndicated, Zee Bros, and Holy Lute.
