Nyquist Wins FrontRunner Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $300,000 Grade 1 FrontRunner Stakes was contested at Santa Anita Park on Saturday, September 26. Two year old males took to Santa Anita's main track and went 1 1/16 miles - the winner not only getting the winner's share of the purse but also gaining a berth into the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Reddam Racing's 1-2 favorite Nyquist did what most expected and remained perfect in his career - by three quarters of a length over 8-1 shot Swipe and Hollywood Don who was sent off at 7-1 odds. Rare Candy, Blameitonthelaw, Mt Veder, Go Long, and On Fire completed the order of finish.
