It was 19-10 second choice Lord Nelson that spoiled Texas Red's much anticipated seasonal debut - winning by a nose in the seven furlong test for trainer Bob Baffert. 7-10 favorite Texas Red finished second with 23-1 shot Sir Samson getting up for third. Bench Warrant was fourth followed by Jazzy Josh, and Serbian Syclone. Magic Taste and Punctuate scratched.
