Seduire Wins Santa Ynez Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 2 Santa Ynez Stakes was contested at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on Saturday, January 3 - a 6 1/2-furlong test of 3-year-old fillies. Jerry Hollendorfer trained 4-1 shot Seduire posted the 2 1/4 length victory - her first ever graded stakes score with Spendthrift Farm's, 17-1 shot Callback finishing second and Xoxo getting up for third. Saturday's victory awarded Seduire 10 points toward a starting berth in the Kentucky Oaks. Lady Lake was fourth followed by 5-2 favorite Light the City, Hennythelovepenny, Morning Coffee, Rattataptap, and Conquest Harlanate, the 7-2 second choice who was eased after balking at the gate.
