Horses three years old and upward were featured when they took to Santa Anita's dirt track and raced one mile. Shadwell Stable's 11-1 shot Tamarkuz posted the upset in the field of nine - emerging by 3 1/2 lengths. 4-1 second choice Gun Runner finished a good second while 42-1 longshot Accelerate rallied for third, by a neck over 3-5 favorite Dortmund. Tom's Ready, Point Piper, Vyjack, Runhappy, and Texas Chrome completed the order of finish.
