A. P. Indian Wins Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap at Saratoga Race Course
The $350,000 Grade 1 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap went down Saturday, July 30 at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York - a six furlong dash for horses three years old and upward. Green Lantern Stables' homebred A. P. Indian continued to make a little noise in the sprinting division prevailing for the fourth straight time - this time by 1 1/4 lengths as one of the three horses sent off at 9-2 odds. 3-1 favorite Holy Boss finished second in the field of eight while Catelina Red got in for third at 7-1 odds. Delta Bluesman was fourth while All Star Red, Anchor Down, Chublicious and Requite completed the order of finish.
