Tepin Wins Hillsborough Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs
The $200,000 Grade 2 Hillsborough Stakes was run at Tampa Bay Downs in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, March 12 - a 1 1/8 mile turf race for fillies and mares four years old and upward. Champion and overwhelming 1-5 favorite Tepin did what most expected and bested the field by a length - in track record time. 7-1 shot Isabella Sings, who had an 18 length lead at one point held on for second with Lovely Loyree getting in for third at an astounding 90-1. Completing the order of finish were Bureau de Change, Button Down, Danza Cavallo, Rainha Da Bateria, Ball Dancing, Royal Jewelry, and Speed Seeker.
