Wise Dan Wins Woodbine Mile Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack
Las Vegas, NV - The $1 million Grade 1 Woodbine Mile, which may be renamed the Wise Dan Mile after this year was contested Sunday, September 15 on Woodbine turf. Wise Dan became the first two-time winner of the race in track record time as the 1-4 favorite. The defending Horse of the Year has now won an incredible nine straight races and now officially has qualified for the Breeders' Cup Mile November 2 - like there was any doubt! Za Approval finished second, with British invader Trade Storm third in the field of six, which was the smallest in the race's history. Riding the River, Dimension, and Excaper completed the order of finish.
