Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 3 Nassau Stakes went down on Woodbine turf in Toronto, Ontario on Sunday, May 25. 5-2 second choice Solid Appeal posted the repeat victory in this one mile test - this time by a half length. Why Katherine, at 18-1, was second in the field of nine older fillies and mares, with Deceptive Vision, the 17-10 favorite, finishing third. Savvy Hester was fourth, followed by Surtsey, Avie's Sense, Northern Passion, Queen's Daughter, and Sisterly Love. Meri Shika was a stewards scratch.
