Las Vegas, NV - Woodbine in Toronto, Ontario played host to the Grade 1 Northern Dancer Turf Stakes on Sunday, September 14 - a 1 1/2 mile turf test for older horses. English invader Sheikhzayedroad was best on the day in his North American debut winning by a half length as the 3-1 second choice. 24-1 shot Dynamic Sky finished a very good second with Reporting Star getting up for third. Villandry finished fourth, followed by 6-5 favorite The Pizza Man, Aldous Snow, Perfect Timber, Karibu Gardens, and Forte Dei Marmi.
