Florida Won Wins Ontario Derby at Woodbine
Las Vegas, NV - Woodbine in Toronto, Ontario was the scene of the $150,000 Grade 3 Ontario Derby on Sunday, September 21 - a 1 1/8 mile test for three year olds. Maiden winner and Mark Casse trained Florida Won made it a stakes debut to remember, winning by a somewhat convincing 1 1/2 lengths at 10-1 odds. The two favorites followed - Coltimus Prime finished second in the field of seven with rival Ami's Holiday getting up for third. Squeeze the King was fourth, followed by Jose Sea View, Lunar Rover, and Picozza.
