Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 2 Play the King Stakes was contested on Sunday, August 23 from Woodbine in Toronto, Ontario - a seven furlong race for horses three years old and upward. Cooper Water Thoroughbred Co.'s Reporting Star posted the upset win at 15-1 odds, nosing out Tower of Texas who came second. Kaigun closed well to finish third, five lengths back while Passion for Action finish fourth, followed by Platinum Glory, Stacked Deck, overwhelming 6-5 favorite Bobby's Kitten, and Hot Hot Heat, to complete the order of finish.
