Shaman Ghost Wins Queen's Plate Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack
Las Vegas, NV - Canada's most prestigious race - the $1 million ungraded Queen's Plate took place at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario for the 156th time on Sunday, July 5. Canada's best three year olds went 1 1/4 miles on Woodbine's synthetic track with 3-1 second choice Shaman Ghost emerging by a neck after a superb stretch run. 3-1 favorite Danish Dynaformer finished second with 6-1 fifth choice Conquest Stables Conquest Boogaloo getting up for a good third place finish. Billy's Star faded and finished fourth with Breaking Lucky, longshot Oakton, Auld, Ami's Flatter, Easy Indygo, Bear At Last, Portree, Sweet Grass Creek and the only filly in the field Academic completing the order of finish. Milwaukee Mist scratched.
