Puntrooskie Wins Bold Venture Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack
The $150,000 Grade 3 Bold Venture Stakes was contested Saturday, July 23 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario - a 6 1/2 furlong dash for horses three years old and upward. D-Mac Racing Stable's Donald MacRae trained 8-1 shot Puntrooskie upset the talented field of six - by 1 1/2 lengths. 2-5 favorite Noholdingback Bear was caught in the end but held for second while 7-2 second betting choice Calgary Cat got in for third. Western Elegance claimed fourth while Goodoldhockeygame and Choctaw Chuck completed the order of finish.
