Las Vegas, NV - Delta Downs will host a pair of lucrative races for juveniles this Saturday, November 17 with the 10th running of the Grade 1 Delta Downs Princess Stakes being contested for two year old fillies. $500,000 will be on the line for those two year olds willing to go one mile on Delta Downs' main tack.
Nine juvenile fillies will line up in the Princess which is race 6 on Delta Downs's Saturday schedule. Post time is 3:43 PM. Let's take a gander into the past performances of all nine and what should play out on Saturday.
Madame Cactus - has three career starts for trainer Steve Asmussen with two straight wins coming into the Princess. Last time out was an impressive score in the My Trusty Cat Stakes here October 19 to follow a win in a Maiden Special Weight race by 6 1/4 lengths at Delta Downs September 29 and a second in her debut at Del Mar August 19. She is the likely favorite based on that nice win last time out.
Rose to Gold - started her career with two stakes wins - the Brave Raj Stakes by 13 1/2 lengths on September 15 and the Lindsay Frolic Stakes by 13 lengths on August 25 both at Calder. She had been the best juvenile at Calder by a mile but is coming off a disappointing twelfth last time out in the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades in her turf debut. She returns to dirt for this one where she is 2-for-2 and has looked mighty impressive.
Salamera - broke maiden on May 26 at Calder by four and a quarter lengths and then went on to win the J J's Dream Stakes also at Calder on June 30. Since then she has recorded a very good second behind Kauai Katie in the Grade 2 Adirondack and a disappointing fifth last time out in the Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes at Delta Downs September 29. Salamera has been competitive in all but one career start and could be a factor Saturday.
Cayllano - has two wins in four career starts and like Salamera, Cayllano has one Maiden Special Weight score by an impressive nine lengths and a stakes win under her belt - the White Clay Creek Overnight Stakes by eight and a half lengths at here on July 4. She was third behind Madame Cactus in the My Trusty Cat Stakes here last time out October 19 and before that was a decent fourth in the competitive Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga August 12.
Unhedged - has three career starts and three wins for trainer Thomas Amoss including the Presque Isle Debutante Stakes last time out September 29. She has looked good in the lead-up to the Princess and is just another to keep your eye on Saturday.

Floral Sky - finished fifth in the Grade 3 Debutante Stakes at Churchill Downs in June but has won both of her other career starts - an Allowance at Woodbine last time out after nearly four months away and a Maiden Special Weight at Churchill Downs in May. Her lone poor result was on grass but her two wins have come on dirt - the surface for Saturday's Princess.
Touch Magic - finished a very close second last time out in the minor Cassidy Stakes at Calder September 29 to follow a pair of wins on that same track. She, like the rest of the field is used to contending - no reason to think differently for Saturday's race!
Sittin At the Bar - finished a very nice second last time out in the My Trusty Cat Stakes here October 19 right behind Madame Cactus after a Maiden Special Weight score in her only other career start.
Cloudy in Sandiego - finished fourth most recently as a 55-1 shot in the Grade 2 Pocahontas Stakes October 28 after a win in a Maiden Special Weight and a ninth in a similar race in her career debut.
Race 6 on Delta Downs's Saturday card with a Post Time of 3:43 PM.
