Las Vegas, NV -- The Grade 1 Maker's 46 Mile Stakes is on tap at Keeneland this Friday, April 13th. Horses four years old and upward will be chasing a $300,000 purse over a distance of one mile on Keeneland's turf track.
A strong field of seven entries will go in Race 9 on Keeneland's Friday schedule with a post time of 5:13 PM. Here is a breakdown of all seven entries and the credentials that brought them into this race.
Get Stormy - Will look to repeat at this race, and after a win in the Grade 1 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap on February 11th he has to be considered the favorite. In 2011 Get Stormy also won the Grade 1 Churchill's Turf Classic, and finished second and third twice out of eight starts. But sandwiched between impressive results is a terribly disappointing 12th at the TVG Breeders' Cup Mile in November. Get Stormy loves this track however - in addition to winning the Maker's Mark Mile here last year, he won the Grade 3 Bryan Station Stakes and finished second in the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile Stakes.

Turallure - has two first place finishes and a second in his last three starts - a win over Get Stormy in the Grade 2 Bernard Baruch Handicap in August at Saratoga followed by an impressive win at the Grade 1 Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes in September and then a second at the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Mile at Churchill Downs in November. Turallure finished eighth in this race last year but is a late bloomer and is racing very well at present.
Hollinger - Canadian Champion Hollinger most recently finished second in the Grade 1 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap in February and before that benefitted from Yummy With Butter's misfortune and was moved up to second in the Grade 3 Ft. Lauderdale. Prior to that Hollinger finished 3rd at the Grade 3 Tropical Turf Handicap at Calder.
Big Blue Kitten - most recently finished a respectable third in the Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap and has five wins in eight career starts including the Grade 2 Hall of Fame Stakes at Saratoga in August. Sandwiched between those results was a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream on December 31st.
Doubles Partner - Todd Pletcher trained Doubles Partner most recently won the Grade 3 Canadian Turf Stakes and before that finished a respectable third at the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic at Churchill Downs in May. He also recorded a win last March in the Grade 3 Tampa Bay Stakes.
Data Link - finished a respectable third in the Grade 3 Canadian Turf Stakes at Gulfstream on March 3rd in his graded stakes debut and before that won four out of five races mostly against lesser competition.
Pressday - is a Group 1 winner in Australia and finished third most recently at the Joe Hernandez Handicap at Santa Anita on March 4th. Pressday was second in an Allowance in February in his only other start on US soil.
