Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Monmouth Oaks is on tap for this Saturday, August 11 from Monmouth Park on the stunning Jersey Shore. Three year old fillies will race 1 1/16 miles on Monmouth's main dirt track in search of their share of the $100,000 purse.
A field of six females has been entered for the Monmouth Oaks. It goes as race 10 on Monmouth Park's Saturday card with a post time of 5:26 PM. Here is a glimpse into the recent results of the six entries and how they should fare this Saturday.
Morrow Cove - very impressive Todd Pletcher filly has won three of her last four starts including the Serena's Song Stakes by four and a half lengths here on July 15 and an Allowance race at Delaware Park a staggering 10 and three quarter lengths before that. She will be after her first graded stakes win on Saturday and is certainly one horse that everyone will keep an eye on.
Jemima's Pearl - Bob Baffert trained filly has just one Allowance Optional Claiming score in her last three starts - her only starts on North American soil with a third in the Grade 2 Fantasy Stakes at Oaklawn on April 11 and a disappointing tenth last time out in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks. Jemima's Pearl has only two victories and three thirds in eight career starts but one of her wins came over this same 1 1/16 mile distance.
Wine Princess -has only four career starts - all in 2012 with two wins including an impressive score in an Allowance at Churchill Downs last time out and a Maiden Special Weight race on May 4. She is lightly raced but has shown good form in her four career starts.

Final Escrow - broke her maiden by nine lengths on May 30 at Penn National and followed that with an Allowance score last time out at Delaware Park. Like Wine Princess Final Escrow has two wins in just four career starts.
Proud Pearl - has two wins in 10 career starts but the last win came in March in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Laurel Park. She has failed to place in three races since and is coming off a fourth in the Lady Charles Town Stakes on June 30.
Defy Gravity - is the most experienced of the entries but has gone seven starts without a win - the Smart Halo Stakes at Laurel Park in November. Last time out was a fifth in her graded stakes debut - the Azalea at Calder on July 7.
