Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Pegasus Stakes will take place this Sunday, June 17th from Monmouth Park. $100,000 is on the line for three year olds willing to go 1 1/16 miles on Monmouth's main track.
A field of seven has been entered for the Pegasus that goes as race 11 on Monmouth's Sunday card. Post time is 5:48 PM. Here is a look at all seven entries and the recent performances that brought them to this Grade 3 event.
Easter Gift - comes into the Pegasus with little experience but a ton of hype. He makes his graded stakes debut on Sunday after two wins in two career starts - an Allowance score last time out at Parx on May 22nd and before that a win in a Maiden Special Weight at Gulfstream on April 7th. Many including myself are looking forward to Easter Gift's anticipated stakes debut!
Good Morning Diva - most recently finished an OK fourth in the Grade 2 Peter Pan Stakes to follow up an impressive win at the Calder Derby on April 14th . He finished a disappointing fifth in the Grade 3 Swale Stakes on March 10th after breaking maiden on February 11th at Gulfstream. In five career starts, Good Morning Diva has two wins and a third place finish. Elvis Trujillo will ride Good Morning Diva for the first time in the Pegasus.
Innocent Man - won his first two career starts before an OK third most recently as favorite in the Chick Lang Stakes at Pimlico on Preakness Stakes Day. The Pegasus at 1 1/16 miles is the first time that Innocent Man will race more than six furlongs making this race a very tough task.

Midnight Serenade - is one of the stakes winners in the field. He won the Seacliff Stakes at Calder last July but hasn't been the same since. Last time out was a sixth in the Lamplighter Stakes on this track to follow a fifth in the Canonero II Stales on May 5th. Prior to that was a decent second in the Ocala Breeders' Sales Sophomore Stakes at Tampa Bay on April 7th.
Le Bernardin - finished a disappointing 10th in his Stakes debut - the Grade 2 Peter Pan Stakes at Belmont on May 12th after two straight wins - an Allowance race on April 7th and a Maiden Special Weight score on March 10th. He has reportedly been training very well and could be a factor from post 3.
Unbridled's Way - has three career starts - all Maiden Special Weight with an impressive 11 ½ length win last time out here and two seconds before that at Gulfstream.
Speeding Again - won his first career start - a Maiden Special Weight here on May 12th and followed it up with a fifth in a Allowance in his only other start. Speeding Again is a huge long shot in the Pegasus.
