Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Autumn Stakes is on tap for this Saturday, November 10 from Woodbine Race Track just outside beautiful Toronto, Ontario. Horses three years old and upward will go 1 1/16 miles on Woodbine's main track in search of their share of the $150,000 purse.
A field of seven will line up in the Autumn Stakes which is race 8 on Woodbine's Saturday schedule. Post time is 4:27 PM. Let's take a glance into the past performances of all seven combatants ahead of this Grade 3 race.
Maritimer - Three year old colt was Canada's champion 2 year old last year. He placed fourth in Grade 3 Summer Stakes last year in his first race against three year olds and followed that up with a pair of wins on this track to end his 2012 campaign - both minor stakes races. He won the Coronation Futurity last November 6 and then the Display Stakes and then took four months off. In his only start this year Maritimer was a disappointing eleventh in the Grade 2 U.A.E Derby at Meydan Racecourse. Maritimer returns to action after a failed trip overseas and will be looking to establish himself as a dominant three year old this week.
City Wolf - had a string of four straight wins including the Grade 3 Durham Cup Stakes in October interrupted by a disappointing eighth in the last year's Autumn Stakes and an eleventh in the Grade 3 Eclipse Stakes here on May 26. He has been decent in 2012 but hasn't won since last year's Durham Cup in October. City Wolf has two seconds in his last three races - the Grade 3 Durham Cup last time out and the Grade 3 Seagram Cup three back. He has been knocking on the door and could reasonably contend for his first win in over a year.
James Street - is a graded stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed that has a win and two thirds in four starts this year. He started his year with a fifth in the Grade 3 Eclipse Stakes in May after a six month layoff. Since then has been a third in the Grade 3 Seagram Stakes, an Allowance score September 21 and a third last time out in the Grade 3 Durham Cup Stakes October 14.
Alpha Bettor - has 19 career starts all at Woodbine. He started 2012 with a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming and followed that with a seventh in the Grade 3 Eclipse. Since then Alpha Bettor has been up and down - a win in the Grade 3 Seagram Stakes three back has really put Alpha Bettor on the radar. But results like a fourth last time out in the Grade 3 Durham Cup Stakes takes a little lustre off this colt. He has placed in four of his last five starts overall and will be looking to return to his Seagram Stakes form.

Hotep - ended 2011 with consecutive sixth place finishes on this track - the Grade 1 Northern Dancer Turf Stakes and last year's version of this race but had a win in an Allowance Optional Claiming on June 16 and followed that with a very good second in the Grade 2 Nijinsky Stakes in July. The last two starts have yielded a disappointing sixth in the Grade 2 Sky Classic here and a fourth in the minor Robert F. Carey Memorial Handicap at Hawthorne October 6. Hotep enters this year's Autumn Stakes in so-so form.
Jomelo - has four wins in his last six races - all Allowance and Claiming races. He has one graded stakes race on his résumé however but that resulted in a seventh in the Summer Stakes September of last year. Jomelo takes an enormous step up in competition this week but is certainly used to winning!
Patrioticandproud - has two wins and three seconds in his last five starts including a win in the minor Toronto Cup Stakes two back on this track. Patrioticandproud enters on a two race win streak but makes a huge leap in competition for the Autumn Stakes.
Race 8 on Woodbine's Saturday card with a Post Time of 4:27 PM.
