Las Vegas, NV - Another weekend of graded stakes action is done - it was quite a weekend for one trainer especially at Betfair Hollywood Park. Along with Hollywood Park, Delaware Park, Belmont and Monmouth all hosted significant races over the two days - let's take a look at some of the results.
The final weekend of racing at Betfair Hollywood Park took place this weekend and Saturday saw trainer John Sadler sweep the three graded stakes races on the card. First up was the Grade 3 Hollywood Juvenile Championship for two year olds. Sadler had the top two finishers in that race to start a momentous day. Recent claim Scherer Magic, the 3-1 second choice outraced the other Sadler entry Carson's Crown who barely beat out Just Call Me Al who was third. Favorite Amarish was a colossal disappointment - he finished sixth.
Race 8 at Hollywood on Saturday featured three year old fillies. It was John Sadler's Lady of Shamrock that posted the convincing win and avenged a loss to second place My Gi Gi who finished second. My Gi Gi won last time out in the Grade 2 Honeymoon Handicap over Lady of Shamrock. Best Present Ever was third - 2 3/4 lengths behind the winner.
