Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 2 Vangrancy Handicap comes our way from Belmont Park in Elmont, New York this Saturday, May 18. The race will feature fillies and mares three years old and upward as they dash 6.5 furlongs on Belmont's dirt track for the winner's share of the $200,000 purse.
The Vagrancy Handicap has attracted a small but quality field of six females for race 9 on Belmont Park's Saturday schedule. Post time is 5:17 PM. Let's take a brief glance into the past performances of all six combatants for this Grade 2 stakes.
Spectacular Sky - had a three race win streak in the summer at Calder including the minor Barb`s Dancer Stakes and the Whippleton Stakes and looked very good before a disappointing sixth in the Grade 2 Chilukki Stakes at Churchill Downs November 3. She bounced back with a win in the minor Manatee Stakes by a head at Tampa Bay Downs February 9 and was second last time out in the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes March 17 at Gulfstream behind Aubby K who went on to win the Grade 1 Humana Distaff. She has won four of her last six starts and outside of the Chilukki has been competitive in every race the last eight months. She will be looking for her first graded stakes score Saturday.
Glorious View - Bill Mott trained filly races in stakes company for the first time Saturday after 11 career starts yielded three wins - all of which have come in her last three starts - all over six furlongs and all at Aqueduct. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score April 11 after a win in an Allowance March 10 and a MSW score February 15.
Fantasy of Flight - Richard Dutrow filly had a very nice 9 3/4 length win in an Optional Claiming race in October after a less-than-impressive ninth in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs way back in May. She was a pedestrian fifth in the Grade 2 Go for Wand Handicap at Aqueduct November 23 and followed that with a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming race at Gulfstream January 12 and a good second in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes at Gulfstream February 10 for her most impressive career result. Last time out was an ugly eighth in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes at Keeneland April 13 however.

Miss d'Oro - has seven career starts for trainer Jason Servis with four wins, a second and two third place finishes. Arguably her best result came in June of 2012 - a win in the minor Wonders Delight Stakes at Penn National. She won two starts at Parx earlier this year and made a successful graded stakes debut April 13 with a second in the Grade 2 Distaff Handicap behind Cluster of Stars.
Withgreatpleasure - had runner-up finishes in four straight minor stakes races including the Affectionately Stakes at Aqueduct January 26 and the Thirty Eight Go Go Stakes behind Onepointhreekarats December 22. She broke that streak with an OK third in the Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie Handicap behind Funnys Approval and My Wandy's Girl February 16 and followed that with a disappointing sixth in the Grade 2 Top Flight Handicap March 2. However Withgreatpleasure enters on a two race win streak - the Grade 2 Ruffian last time out at Aqueduct April 6 and a Handicap at Charles Town March 19. She cuts back in distance for the Vagrancy but has won on this track over this distance in the past.
Irish Exchange - has 17 career starts with five wins but makes her graded stakes debut Saturday, She enters off two good minor stakes results - a second last time out in the Primonetta Stakes at Pimlico April 20 and a win in the Langhorne Stakes at Parx March 26.
