Las Vegas, NV - Monmouth Park in the great state of New Jersey will appropriately host the Grade 3 Jersey Shore Stakes this Holiday Thursday, July 4. A purse of $100,000 will be on the line for three year olds willing to sprint six furlongs on Monmouth Park's dirt track.

Whiskey Romeo - Anthony Dutrow trained colt has five career starts with four wins including three minor stakes scores. Last time out was a nice win in the minor Trippi Stakes here April 26 after his worst career result - a sixth in the Fred "Cappy" Capossela Stakes in March. Other wins include the Marylander Stakes in December and the James F. Lewis III Stakes also in November. He breaks from the far outside pole and is the one to beat Thursday.
Amarish - Steve Asmussen trainee had looked unstoppable in his first two races before stumbling last summer - a sixth in the Grade 2 Best Pal Stakes at Del Mar to follow a sixth in the Grade 3 Hollywood Juvenile Championship on July 14. He won the Willard Proctor Stakes and a Maiden Special Weight race in his debut in impressive fashion. He endured seven months away and returned with a seventh in the minor Baffle Stakes in March followed by a fifth in an Allowance at Keeneland in April. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs June 6.
Rainbow Heir - has just three career starts for trainer Benjamin W. Perkins and three wins - the last being an Allowance score here May 12 after a couple of wins at Laurel Park to star his career. He makes his stakes debut Thursday but enters on a hot streak.
Res Judicata - John Servis pupil started his 2013 campaign with an eighth in the Grade 3 Swale Stakes in March - his only graded stakes action. He followed that with a pair of minor stakes starts - a second in the Fit to Flight Stakes April 7 was followed by a sixth in the Chick Lang Stakes at Pimlico May 18. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Penn National for his only win since the minor Christopher Elser Memorial at Parx in November.

Uptown Boy - makes his graded stakes debut Thursday but has been pretty good in his career - 10 starts with four wins, three seconds and a third place finish. His only two off-the-board finishes came at the end of 2012 - a fourth in the minor Pennsylvania Nursery Stake and at the beginning of this year - a fifth in the minor Tom Ridge Stakes in May. He did rebound last time out however - a win in the minor E Dubai HBPA Stakes at Penn National June 1.
Two T's At Two B - Kathleen O'Connell trained colt started his career with three straight wins and followed that with an OK third in the minor Florida Stallion Affirmed Stakes in October. He ended 2012 with a second in the Florida Stallion In Reality Stakes in October and then endured eight months away. He returned June 8 to a seventh in the minor Unbridled Stakes. Two T's At Two B makes his first start away from Calder on Thursday.
English Manor - makes his stakes debut Thursday after 15 career starts produced just two wins, five seconds and a third place finish - all results coming at Parx. He is coming off a Starter Allowance score June 8 after a pair of fifths in Allowance races this spring.
