Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California will be the scene of the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes Thursday, December 26. Three year old fillies will be featured as they go seven furlongs on Santa Anita's main track searching for the winner's share of the $300,000 purse.

Sweet Lulu - Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly has six starts in her career winning her first four - the Grade 1 Test Stakes over Wildcat Lily and My Happy Face August 14, an Allowance Optional Claiming at Del Mar, an Allowance score at Hollywood Park in June and a MSW win at Hollywood Park in May. Last time out was her worst career performance - a fifth in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint after her first loss - a decent second in the Grade 1 Cotillion Stakes at Parx September 21. She hasn't won in her last two starts and will be looking to start a new streak Thursday. She drew the rail for the La Brea and will carry the top weight of 123 pounds with Rafael Bejarano taking the call.
Executiveprivilege - two-time Grade 1 winner and Bob Baffert trained filly was undefeated in five career starts prior to a second place finish in the 2012 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies behind Beholder. The wins include an impressive three and a quarter length score in the Landaluce Stakes in July 2012 and three straight Grade 1 stakes wins - the Grade 3 Sorrento, the Grade 1 Debutante and the Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes in September 2012 before the Breeders' Cup. Executiveprivilege raced one more time in 2012 - a fourth in the Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet before nearly eight months away. She returned to action July 18 to a second behind Reneesgotzip in an Allowance and was fourth last time out behind Grade 1 winner Teddy's Promise in the minor L.A. Woman Stakes at Santa Anita October 5. She was one of the best in the land before injury and will be looking to get back to that form this Thursday. Mike Smith will be in the saddle from post 4.
Madame Cactus - has three wins and two seconds in six career starts - by far her best result coming last time out - a win at 11-1 odds as an Alternate Entry in the Grade 2 Raven Run Stakes at Keeneland October 19. She also had a win in the minor My Trusty Cat Stakes at Delta Downs on October 2012, a fourth in the Grade 3 Delta Downs Princess in November and a second in the minor C.E.R.F Stakes nearly 10 months later at Del Mar. My Happy Face - has finished in the money in eight of 10 career starts - the lone blemishes coming in her last two starts - a fourth last time out in the Grade 2 Comeley Stakes at Aqueduct November 30 and a fourth behind Close Hatches, Sweet Lulu and Street Girl in the Grade 1 Cotillion Stakes at Parx September 21. Before that was a third to Sweet Lulu and Wildcat Lily in the Grade 1 Test Stakes at Saratoga August 24 and a second behind Princess of Sylmar in the Grade 1 American Oaks July 20. She was second in the Grade 1 Frizette behind Dreaming of Julia last October, she won the Grade 3 Tempted Stakes in November 2012, she finished second in the Grade 2 Forward Gal behind Kauai Katie in January and won the minor Lotka Stakes at Belmont Park after nearly five months away as well. She has been on or near the podium in every career start and will be looking to bounce back from two straight off-the-board finishes Thursday.
Journey On - Doug O'Neill trained filly has six career starts with a three race win streak earlier this year - an Allowance Optional Claiming here October 13, a Starter Allowance in August and a Maiden Claiming before that. She made her stakes debut October 26 and finished a very good second in the Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes on this track and followed that with another win - an Allowance Optional Claiming at Hollywood Park November 29. Journey On has six career starts with four wins, a second and one sixth place finish - that coming in her debut back in July.
Heir Kitty - Peter Miller trained filly recorded her first win in eight starts this year last time out - an Allowance Optional Claiming at Hollywood Park November 29 after an ugly and distant ninth in the Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes here October 26. Before that was a seventh in the minor Unzip Me Stakes September 28 after a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Del Mar September 21 and six months away. She started her year with a very good second in the Grade 3 Santa Ysabel Stakes behind Fiftyshadesofhay here January 26 before a close third in the minor Sweet Life Stakes on this track February 16 and a fourth in the Grade 1 Las Virgenes in March.
Miss Lucky Stevens - has six starts in 2013 for trainer Peter Gallagher with a win and two second place finishes - those seconds coming in her last two starts - both Allowance races the last two months. Before that was a ninth in the minor Sandy Blue Handicap at Del Mar in August and a tenth in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs in June. Her only win this year was an Allowance in April but she has not looked great, particularly in stakes action since.
